How to Manage a Marquess by Sally MacKenzie is one that I have been waiting for. It is the second installment in the Spinster House series. I found these books to be quirky fun reads with characters you can't help but like. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next chapter of the Spinster House series. I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am now three days out from my surgery. I've got lots of family support here, and I think we've got just about everything accomplished that we can get done before hand.

My mind is still going 100mph and it's getting harder and harder to concentrate on anything.

But, there are still some books (and certain authors works) that I've found I've been able to concentrate on. Most are parts of series that I've already "met" the characters in.

So, as I find I'm able, I'm still plugging along and reading as I can.

Today is just one of those days....

I'm scared, nervous and overwhelmed.

There's so much to do before the surgery on the 28th and, at times, it seems like time is just flying by. But, at night time seems to just drag by.

The Girls of Mischief Bay by Susan Mallery is an emotionally engaging novel revolving around the lives of three woman.

Nicole Lord's husband has decided to leave his job to surf and write as screenplay. As he becomes more involved in his new life, she begins to wonder if he was ever the husband and father that she'd known him to be. When do you speak up for the life you want?

Pam Eiland and her husband finally find themselves at a stage in their lives where the children are grown out of the house and they are ready to move onto what comes next. After she and her husband come back from a romantic get-a-way, and are preparing for a cruise, her world is turned completely around.

Shannon Rigg has what she's always wanted. She has a high powered, financially sound position. But, when she meets the man who could be the one, she begins to wonder if she wants more.

I just read a great quick read!It is Dog Collar Limbo by Adrienne Giordano which is one of the stories in Red Sole Clues.

I found it to be a delightfully light mystery that while part of a series, as well as part of an anthology, can completely be read as a stand alone story.

Well, I am relieved that according to the PET Scan I had last week there was no further cancer found.

Just where we knew it was.

So, I will be having surgery Monday 3/28.

My mind is still complete mush.

Therefore, I am still being extremely selective on the books that I am reading.

Well, in the last week I've found out that I have cervical cancer.

That being the case, I will not be reading and reviewing as many books.

I've discovered that it is extremely difficult to concentrate on most books. I've found a few that I've gotten wrapped in the tale of. But, they are few and far between.

Hopefully soon I will be back to normal and able to concentrate on my reading and will once again be reviewing up a storm.
