Today is 11/23/19 and I am excited to be back. Life has thrown a few curve-balls my way lately. But, we are now settling in nicely and I am so ready to get back to reviewing.

I am currently reading The Last Real Cowboy by Caitlin Crews and am thoroughly enjoying it. I should have the post for ya'll soon.

After this book I have plans to read some items that have been sitting on my To Be Read Stack awhile. So just hang in a little longer.

The Rocky Mountain Cowboys series by Karen Rock is not a saccharine sweet series. You may not fall instantly in love with her characters, instead, like in real life you begin to appreciate them for who they truly are.

This is true of Bad Boy Rancher. Neither Justin Cade nor Brielle Thompson is perfect, they have pasts that they are not proud of and instead of meeting them head on, they are both hiding from their pasts. 

At times I found myself disliking the acts of one of the characters and wondering why it was written that way. But, then I realized that just like everyone else they had struggles, some of which I was not aware of at the time.

In the end though, this book is filled with loss, family, love and most importantly hope. Hope that those that are struggling with something can find that one person, place or thing that will allow them to find the courage and strength within themselves to reach out and find the help that they need to be  whole once more.

Love just might be blind, maddening and completely wonderful.

Everything had come too easily for Jared Cade. That was until his charm and good looks could not win him the one thing he really wanted, the love of his best friend Amberley James.

Falling for a Cowboy is the second book in the Rocky Mountain Cowboys series by Karen Rock. If you love a series with real life issues, including families that drive you up a wall, and heart, do yourself a favor and start this series.

While this is a series, you can pick this book up and completely follow the story line without being lost. So you can start here or with Christmas at Cade Ranch.

While I have not had an opportunity to read it, as of yet, you can go back to the beginning with A Cowboy to Keep.

But, no matter what you decide grab a good cup of coffee or tea, one of these books and fall in love with the Cade family. You won't regret it. (Unless you find yourself staying up way too late in order to finish it, like I did.)

Ms. Calculation is the First Book in Danica Winter's Mystery Alaska series. You cannot help but fall for the Fitzgerald family. They may not be perfect, but they have love.

When Gwen Johansen's sister is found dead on Dunrovin Ranch it brings back many memories. Most of which surround the death of her father on the same ranch and her high school relationship with now sheriff Wyatt Fitzgerald.

Together they work to unravel the mystery behind her death.

Third Son's a Charm by Shana Galen is a delightful book with a lot of charm. And who can resist that cover? Ewan Moysyn is a man who would intimidate most men, by adventurous Lady Lorraine is far from frightened by the man who was hired to guard her. Will he be able to keep her out of trouble or will trouble find the both of them?

Are you looking for an intriguing mystery that leaves you wanting more? Then Mr. Taken is the book for you.

While Mr. Taken is part of the Mystery Christmas series by Danica Winters it can absolutely be read as a stand alone book. Though it does leave you wanting to read the rest of the books in the series.

When things go from bad to worse at Dunrovin ranch Whitney Barstow begins to think that the past that she is running away from may have caught up with her.

But will the relationship that Colter Fitzgerald hopes to have with her go up in flames or will the firefighter help her fight the flames of that nightmare that keep haunting her?

If you are looking for a sweet, lighthearted book Christmas at Cade Ranch might not be the book for you. But, if you are looking for a warm, rich book with characters who feel real, with true life issues, than this may be just the ticket.

Sofia Gallardo is fighting a past that she is not too proud. She is a single mother, who is struggling with staying clean from a drug addiction on a daily basis. Will she finally believe that she deserves a better life?

James Cade has the weight of the world on his shoulder. His mother is merely going through life on auto pilot, and he is trying to hold the family ranch together after the deaths of his father and brother.
